Prayer Flags for Healthcare, 2009, 10 x 13", screenprint on fabricCreated in 2009 during the Congressional healthcare debates, this work is a prayer for universal healthcare. Pro-healthcare slogans surround a meta-icon created from various pharmaceutical and healthcare companies, and the flags were printed in the seven colors of the chakra. This work was installed in the backyard of a foreclosed home, where medical debt had led to liens against the house worth more than the value of the property.
